Chief Engineer & Accountable Manager
Dave has worked in the aviation industry for over 20 years. He originally worked as a contractor around Europe restoring a number of DC-3’s and a Catalina. He also worked at Lands End airport in the UK on BN Islanders, a Twin Otter and GA aircraft. He also worked on the set of James Bond “Tomorrow Never Dies” based in the French Pyrenees. Back in the UK he worked as the Chief engineer for Air Atlanitique Classic Flight. Here Dave honed his skills on everything historic from DC3s to DC-6s, DH Rapides, Twin Pioneer, Percival Prentice and Chipmunks. He gained experience on over 25 different historic aircraft over the years.
Dave was also involved in the Gulf Air 50th Anniversary. He was the engineer looking after an Avro Anson and De Havilland Dove flying from the United Kingdom into Saudi Arabia. You can find out more about his trip here on our blog.
Dave also has experience working as a Lecturer at Coventry University where he taught Engineering for two years before relocating to Australia.
